Biography

Jim Smith is the keelest kids' book comma-putter and page-numberer in the whole wide world amen. He is the bestselling author and illustrator of the Barry Loser series (Farshore) which has been translated into 17 languages and sold over 840,000 copies, as well as the Lollie-winning, wickedly funny spin-off series Future Ratboy (Farshore). Jim is also the genius behind the super weird and super funny Super Weird Mysteries series (Farshore).

Jim is working on the fifth instalment of The Big Fat Smelly Poo Diaries (Scholastic) and his brilliant non-fiction How to Be a A Genius Kid is published by Faber.

Jim also designs cards and gifts as Waldo Pancake, and creates branding for Puccino's coffee shops.
