Margaret Meyer was born in Canada and grew up in New Zealand, where she worked as a journalist and fiction editor. After moving to the UK she was the Museum of London’s publishing manager before becoming the British Council’s Director of Literature. In 2020 she completed her MA in Prose Fiction from the University of East Anglia. She is the recipient of an Escalator mentoring award as well as two Arts Council England writing grants. Her work has appeared in Words & Women, Landfall, Reflex Fiction, Southern Skies and Triarchy Press. Her debut novel, The Witching Tide, will be published by Phoenix (UK) and Scribner (US) in 2023.
