Laura Vazquez

Laura Vazquez is a leading figure in contemporary French literature and winner of the 2023 Prix Goncourt for poetry. The Endless Week, her debut novel, won the Prix de la Page 111 and was a finalist for the Prix Wepler. Her debut collection of poetry, The Hand of the Hand, won the Prix de la Vocation. She was a resident of the Villa Medici in Rome in 2023. She regularly gives readings and performances in France and around the world in international festivals and in venues such as the Ming Contemporary Art Museum in Shanghai and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. She lives in Marseille. Her poems have been translated into Chinese, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Norwegian, Dutch, German, Romanian, Italian, Greek and Arabic. She published her first play, the lesbian tragedy Zero, in 2024. Her first novel The Endless Week is published by Demipage in Spain and will be published by Dorothy Project in the US in October 2025. She will publish a new novel with the Editions du Sous-Sol in France in September 2025.
