Sarah Perry Novel Announced
We are delighted to announce that Melmoth, the new novel from Sarah Perry, has been acquired by Serpent’s Tail.
Inspired by Charles Maturin’s Melmoth the Wanderer, Melmoth begins in the present day, and takes its ensemble cast of characters on a journey through time.
The Essex Serpent was the winner of the 2016 Waterstones Book of the Year. The book was also longlisted for the 2017 Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction and Shortlisted for the 2016 Costa Novel Award.
Melmoth will be published in Autumn 2018.
