Isabella Hammad has won the Plimpton Prize
We are thrilled to announce that Isabella Hammad has won the Plimpton Prize for Fiction for her story 'Mr. Can'aan', which appeared in the Paris Review's Fall 2017 issue.
The £10,000 award is given to the most exciting new voice to feature in the quarterly magazine, and commemorates longtime Paris Review editor George Plimpton's commitment to discovering literary talent. Past winners include Benjamin Percy and Ottessa Moshfegh. Hammad is currently finishing her first novel, The Parisian, which will be published by Jonathan Cape next year.
