Biography

Poppy Sebag-Montefiore is a writer and journalist. Her essay, Touch, won a Pushcart Prize in the US, and is published in Chinese and Arabic. Her Guardian long read about how two BBC journalists risked their jobs to reveal the truth about Jimmy Savile was shortlisted for the Orwell Prize for Journalism along with her podcasts for Tortoise Media on China. She was the creator and editor of the Drum Tower podcast for The Economist, which won the SOPA award for best audio reporting. She is currently the China Affairs Correspondent for The Observer, and is writing a book for Notting Hill Editions.
