Lars Jakobson

Biography

Since his debut in 1985, Lars Jakobson has published a significant body of work spanning novels, short story collections and essays. His writing is marked by a blending of speculative themes, documentary fragments and literary forms, and has earned wide recognition as one of the most inventive and influential Swedish authors of the late twentieth century. In 2006, he won the Svenska Dagbladet book prize and the Selma Lagerlöf Prize. He retired from public life in 2010.
