Joe Bloom

Biography

Joe Bloom is a British artist born in London, 1995. He studied art at the Royal Drawing School and completed a BA in fine art at the Glasgow School of art. Since then, he has been a practicing artist and filmmaker. He has exhibited throughout Europe and worked on multiple documentary and narrative films, including directing for BBC3, the Museum of London, countless independant pieces, and most recently embarking on his directorial feature documentary debut. In late 2023, Joe created the story telling project which he titled ‘A View From A Bridge’, and began releasing it online in early 2024. Since then, A View From A Bridge has secured itself as a modern pillar of online, and now offline story telling. Joe has taken the project across the world, including the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, Spain, Vietnam, France and more. Throughout the project, Joe has been the person at the other end of the phone line, listening, and guiding people through their stories. He also edits / oversee's the edit of each and every conversation. The project now also exists as a hit podcast, multiple episodes have been added in to the BFI national archives, and now, a selection of these stories will be immortalised in Joe’s debut book which will be published by Ebury in 2027.
