Margarita Garcia Robayo
Biography
Margarita García Robayo was born in Cartagena, Colombia in 1980. She is the author of four novels, a book of autobiographical essays and several collections of short stories, including WORSE THINGS (Cosas peores) which won the prestigious Casa de las Americas Prize in 2014. In 2018, a compilation of three of her books was published under the title FISH SOUP and was included on the Times Books of the Year list. Her most recent novel is THE DELIVERY and she recently published two books of non-fiction, FIRST PERSON, a collection of eleven personal essays which includes new material and THE OUTSIDE, an essay on motherhood and fear of the outside world. She is currently working on a novel. She has been translated into seven languages. She lives in Buenos Aires.
