Deanna Valdez

Biography

Deanna J. Valdez writes with a deep love for romance, folklore, fairy tales, eldritch horrors and mythical retellings. She obtained an English Literature degree from McGill University and currently lives in Montreal where she can often be found eating dim sum or running late to dance class. She’s a graduate of both Odyssey Online classes and Futurescapes Long Manuscript workshop. Her short fiction has appeared in Flash Fiction Online and forthcoming in Pulp Literature as well as AE's Unréal Anthology. She has grown a social media following of 18k on #booktok as @deannajvaldezwrites. Despite all this, her greatest achievement to date has been convincing her other author friends to add more spice to their fantasy romances respectfully.
