Dora Carrington

Biography

Dora Carrington (1893-1932) was born in Hereford. She studied at the Slade School (where she chose to be known by her surname only) and, as an artist, was associated with the Bloomsbury Group. Her works include notable portraits of Lytton Strachey, Gerald Brenan and E.M. Forster. She died on 11 March 1932.
