Sal Foreman graduated from the University of Oxford in 2010. She qualified as a solicitor in London before leaving the profession to explore interests beyond law (but not illegal). In 2015 she moved to Moscow, where she wrote her first novel, Madness of Two, based partly on her experiences there. During this time she worked with a Russian publisher to promote contemporary Russian literature in translation; her co-translation work appears in Granta online. She has taught creative writing to children and young adults, worked as a freelance editor of fiction and for The Moscow Times, and helped to run a language school and recruitment business based in Moscow. She is a recent Faber Academy graduate and currently studying for the MSc in Psychoanalytic Theory at UCL.
