Rodrigo Hasbún is a Bolivian novelist of Palestinian descent born in 1981. He is the author of two novels and a collection of short stories. In 2007 he was selected by the Hay Festival as one of the Bogota 39 (best Latin American authors under the age of 39) and in 2010 he was chosen as one of Granta’s Twenty Best Spanish writers under the age of 35. His work has appeared in the Latin American issue of McSweeney, edited by Daniel Galera. His second novel, Affections (Los afectos) (Affections) was translated into ten languages. His new novel, The Invisible Years (Los años invisibles) will be published by PRH Spain in 2020.
